This is the results from the July 2012 Survey to help the Board of Directors
stay in touch with our community.

Survey Questions:  Total Responses [11] as of Dec 17, 2012

We occasionally have problems with graffiti and vandalism in the pool areas, most likely from people coming in from outside the neighborhood. Another problem is people leaving their trash behind.

Question 1:
What would be our best option to address Pool Security?
(You can mark more than one.)
5
Raise the south pool fence similar to the north pool. (Approx $10,000)
2
Hire a security company to patrol and monitor the pools. (Could get expensive over time)
5
Install security cameras and/or an alarm system.
4
Plant cactus around the outside of the fence.
3
Sign up volunteers from the community to monitor the pools.

Just continue making the necessary repairs as needed.

Do you have other security suggestions for the pool areas?

What do security companies charge? I can check on the pools when I am in town.

Taller fence doesn't help. Yes, since people from outside the community drive cars to the pool, they could be identified through their license plates. When community residents are issued pool keys have them also register their license plate number to our association. Volunteers could then check with he association to see if the car belongs to a key holder. - Then possibly could work to keep outsiders from using the pool. I will explain further though our website.

Find out who is propping gate open with rocks.  Continue to encourage people not to prop open gate with rocks. Puts all homeowners at a liability risk.

Hard to answer this question without bids or knowing how much is spent on repairs. Also after an initial expense for installation how much monthly for monitoring of a camera or alarm system. Get the costs involved and take a survey again. Personally we don't use the pools, as a lot of other people don't either, so we would prefer to go the cheapest way to install with no ongoing costs like monitoring services, which we feel are not necessary. Don't think many people will go for volunteering also.

Because we have active north pool neighbors, the north pool tends to be safer, cleaner and more enjoyable.  Something needs to be done to keep it that way!!!

Question 2:
Would you like to volunteer to help check on the pools regularly?
2
Yes
7
No
2
Maybe

Question 3:
Are the pools and pool areas maintained adequately?
3
Maintained very well
2
Maintained above average
5
Average/adequate maintenance
1
Below average, could use a little more attention

Poor, needs a lot of work

Question 4:
Do you have any maintenance suggestions for the pool areas?

Just check on prices for cameras and or alarm systems and security, as well.

North side pool deep end jets have not been circulating for months now. Both pools need to be cleaned and serviced after a storm.

The trees planted around the pool constantly fill the pool with leaves.

No - keep to a minimum to keep costs down. Perhaps close a pool down and do less chemicals etc. when its not in use. Also both in the winter.

The pool cleaning company being used this year is very thorough. It has been a joy having a clean pool!!

It seems that aye the salt water was changed. I preferred the salt water.
Also the pool decks could be cleaned more frequently.

Question 5:
How often do you use the pools during the swimming season?
5
Often, 4 or more times a month
1
Less than 3 times a month
2
Seldom
3
Never

Question 6:
What can we do to make the pools more enjoyable for you and our community residents?

I think we do everything right, it's just outside people who trash the place. So I would check on prices. It might pay to have cameras/security instead of dishing out money every time something happens to the pool. That can add up after a while.

#1 Keep the water and bottom of pools clean. Recruit volunteers to help (I have often used the net to get leaves and debre out of pool, but I can't vacuum the floor.) Volunteers could also report damage or repairs needed.

I think our pools are maintained very well. Restrooms are always clean and there is hardly ever debris in the pools.

I'd like to have a barbeque made of iron and concreted to the ground to it wouldn't get stolen, like the parks have. Do min. work around community cuz the new management is going to get expensive in the next few years. Most times both pools are empty due to the heat.

Heat them in the spring and fall "just a little" ~ not winter.

When are we going to get on people to clean up their yards/weeds? They need to be charged. I see several homes that have much smaller yards then mine and they have weeds as tall as me, and that's tall.!!!

1) Get people to keep junk out of their yard. __ has a boat trailer for months. Several other yards have used oil by garage. 2) Many houses need their trees trimmed. 3) Lastly, please get people to park in their garages or on their driveways. 4) Neighborhood is deteriorating, need enforcement of cc&rs.
