Survey Questions:  Total Responses [15]

How much general enforcement of the CC&R’s and Bylaws do you think the Board should provide?

No enforcement
8
Just the rules that the Board feels will “enhance and protect the value, desirability and attractiveness of the community" as specified as the purpose of the CC&R’s.
5
All HOA rules should be enforced.
2
Other:

The CC&Rs + Bylaws are outdated and don't reflect today's homeowner's needs. Re: parking - overgrowth of trees blocking views of traffic - house painting.

All HOA rules should be enforced. That's why they were developed.

Show consideration for the disabled (physically and financially)

How much weed enforcement should the Board provide?

No enforcement. Leave it up to each homeowner.
2
Only after several months of uncontrolled weed growth.
2
Only when weeds are present and there has not been a recent rain.
12
Any time enough weeds are present to detract from the appearance of the yard / neighborhood.

Other:

Trees blocking oncoming traffic.

How strictly should the trashcan storage rules be enforced?

No enforcement.
1
Trashcans can be stored anywhere as long as they are off the street on non-pickup days.
5
Trashcans can be stored in the front yard as long as they are fairly inconspicuous.
8
Trashcans should be stored out of site except on pickup days, as stated in the CC&R’s.

Other:

Looking @ neighbors trash cans out living room and/or kitchen is less than a pleasing site. Detracts from the values for those folks trying to sell their homes. The housing market is bad enough without neighborhood looking like a dump.

Comments:

Current board is refreshing. Think homeowners are taking better care of properties due to new attitudes the last 2 years. Keep it up!!

Try to get houses that have junk piled on front porches cleaned up & junk on side yards. Trucks parked in front yards removed.

I drove through the entire complex the other day and was so disappointed to see how deteriorated the neighborhood is from when I bought the house in 1988. I don't think the Board has done enough along with the fact that is doesn't look like some people care at all about their property. If we are to retain or increase our property value we need to increase the "curb appeal". My complaints are - too many vehicles for 1 house (I counted 6 for one house the other day), no commercial vehicles should be allowed on the property by the side of the house where a wall is supposed to be, all those weeds and dirt with no landscaping or caretaking. Sorry for the disappointing response.

Our neighborhood is trending downward. Parking and overall neighborhood appearance are declining with our property values.

One particular homeowner did NO yard maintenance for 2 years. I emailed complaint in June 2010 - property cleaned in Oct 2010. Very disappointing response by Board.

I would just like to mention we need a little consideration on weeds for the disabled residents here, most of whom are unable to maintain our yards, and living on a fixed income. Not a complaint, just a thought.
